Great party Saturday with good organization & venue for our Xmas Bubbles celebration, held at the Melrose on Fifth. Thanks to the Body Corporate of Melrose for their support in supplying premises when due to the inclement weather our park venue was unsuitable. We are so lucky.

As mentioned we are planning a February event with a guest speaker on wines to be determined with foods to be matched by our very own Lee Booker .More details to follow
This leaves April to plan a function - an early idea was to look at sample of European wines provided by the Guild Association, and for the members to bring a quality Australian wine of the same variety (say 1 per 4 members). We the members could arrange some European style dishes to accompany.
Back to Saturday 21 in attendance, we had a putting competition Gordon showed his style to get 3 in a row,& did I see Jennie Gribble on the business end of a club for the first time since her back surgery?

Paul Beeston won the Mystery Wine Options Game and was very pleased to receive a swanky drinks bag. Tough questioning and it was very close between Paul and Pat Dowling- two good mates slogging it out to the end. The Mystery wine was a Blue Pyrenese Cuvee Brut 2007 ($20 at the DM store). Wine note below.
